Bharti Airtel beefs up enterprise IP offering

India’s largest cellular provider Bharti Airtel has enhanced its offerings of securing connectivity for enterprise customers to 5000 points of presence in 190 countries. Bharti’s Internet Protocol based Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) services will now be beefed up with MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) connectivity from Greenwood Colorado (US) based Virtela Communications. MPLS allows operators to efficiently work around roadblocks, bottle necks and congestion and provide an agreed quality of service to its premier customers. Norwood Venture Partners’ Managing Partner Pramod Haque is chairman of Virtela.
