Motorola complements clicks with bricks in new India strategy

 Bangalore, March 23 2018:  In a subtle shift to match clicks with bricks, Motorola India  has announced that it is creating 100 new ‘Moto Hubs’ in Karnataka, across the top 8 cities  to strengthenits  retail presence in the southern region.  Today, Motorola   also announced 100  Moto Hubs in Tamil Nadu including 50 Moto Hub stores in Chennai 
These Hubs , either stand alone in malls or part of large and medium retail stores provide easy access and availability of all products to customers, where they will be able to experience the entire portfolio of Motorola devices at convenient locations including the recently launched Moto Z2 force and Moto X4.
According to GFK, Karnataka is the second biggest smartphone market by state in India with over 600,000  smartphones sold every month, thus  contributing 8% of the total smartphones sold in India.  Capital Bangalore,   accounts for  50% of the total smartphones sold in Karnataka and Motorola is amongst the top 5 brands in the city.
Approximately 550,000 smartphones are sold in Tamil Nadu per month out of which Chennai contributes 37% (200,000 units). Chennai has emerged as a significantly big market for smartphones in India and Motorola is amongst the top 5 smartphone brands in Chennai.

We have received an overwhelming response at all the previously opened Moto Hubs across the country and are equally positive that the people of Karnataka will reciprocate with equal or more enthusiasm.”
Motorola, earlier this month announced the opening of 50 new Moto Hubs in Mumbai and 25 Moto Hub stores in Kolkata. In January 2018, Motorola had announced the opening of 50 new Moto Hubs in New Delhi. Motorola has also collaborated with Poorvika Mobiles across 43 cities in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karnataka and with Big C and Lot Mobile stores across 55 cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to provide retail access to consumers.
All Moto Hub stores house the entire portfolio of Motorola devices and motomods along with Motorola accessories like on-ear and in-ear headphones, moto shells and covers.

Motorola Mobility was acquired by Lenovo Group Holdings in 2015and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lenovo, responsible for designing and manufacturing all Moto branded mobile handsets.
