Pune, August 9 2017: Swipe Technologies has made Virtual Reality on phones affordable with the launch of the Elite VR handset.
The 5.5” HD IPS display smartphone is powered with 1.3 GHz quad core with 1 GB RAM & 8GB ROM expandable to 32 GB. Backed with a 3000 mAh battery, the device is bundled with a VR lens and viewer and is 4G Volte enabled. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera and comes with the SwiftKey Keyboard that enables Indian consumers to type freely in all their native languages. It is priced at Rs 4999.
Says Founder & CEO Mr. Shripal Gandhi: “It was Swipe who introduced Indian’s first 3D Tablet in 2012. Five years later, today we are introducing India’s first affordable virtual reality and a new interface for users to consume content. With the help of Swipe ELITE VR and the accompanying VR lens, consumers will get an immersive experience, be it watching cricket, movies or playing games. According to estimates the VR and augmented reality (AR) market in India are projected to register a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 55.3 % during 2016-2021. Analysts and industry players believe that mobile-centric VR headsets or screenless viewer headsets — and not PlayStations or PC/Console-enabled VR gaming — will see greater adoption in the mass market.”
