Webscale beefs up operations in India

Bangalore, July 20 2017: US headquartered,  Indian talent-led Webscale  has recently expanded its presence in India, making the team here,  its largest worldwide, with global responsibility for  marketing, sales and support.
The company has  also made India its launchpad for the rest of Asia.  To Indian enterprises  which are looking for an e-commerce operation,  Webscale   brings a compelling proposition: Do what you do best in your core area of competence.  But let us look after your online selling operation. The new world of social media, online deals and flash sales can transform the traffic to your website in a heartbeat.  If your site slows down or is unavailable even temporarily,  due to  a spike in visitors, you  may suffer a critical loss of brand   reputation.  All it takes is a 3 second or more time to load -- and 4 out of 10 visitors will ' walk away'. We are in the  cloud-based content delivery business  and  can enable a host of features  to make your web-based operations  fast, always available and secure.
In India  briefly to review Webscale's operations here, CEO Sonal Puri says: "For  many businesses, the concept of the cloud can be daunting, but there are considerable benefits to be had from moving their website to the cloud --reduced costs, quicker recovery times, infinite capacity and scalability.  But these are not their core business. They need end-to-end assurance of performance, security, and scalability delivered just in time.  That’s the promise of a Webscale partnership.”  (The Hindu Businessline reports Ms Puri saying Webscale  has allocated an investment of  Rs 1.3 billion to the India market over the next three years.)
In recent weeks, Webscale has gone a la carte with its  software-as-a-service offerings, enabling clients to mix-n-match elements of its Cloud Application Delivery Controller (ADC) which  adds real-time capabilities to their web applications.  This will appeal to  enterprises  who find they are overspending on cloud infrastructure by buying too much or not using automation to manage it correctly, thereby hurting their own bottom line.
Webscale's solutions flow  from its Boulder, Colorado ( US) office, over seen by  founder and Chief Technology Officer Jay Smith. Its head quarters are in Mountain View in the US Silicon Valley where Ms Puri,   who did her undergraduate degreee from the University of Mumbai and a Masters from the University of Southern California, has been CEO since 2015
