Bangalore, April 13 2017: Leading innovator of open and connected data platforms Hortonworks, Inc.  has opened  of a new, office in Bangalore, to  house the company’s engineering and support teams, in addition to the India sales team.
As more organizations use its platforms for mission-critical applications, the company is expanding its ability to support its 24x7 operations. The new office is built to house over 120 more employees to support the development and support for these important applications.

Hortonworks recently also announced version 2.6 of its Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP®) product. The new version features enhancements around the Hadoop core offering as well as operations, security and governance and data access.
