ACT brings gigabit Internet to India, starting with Hyderabad

1 GBPS Net will be progressively offered in 11 cities

Hyderabad March 31 2017: Atria Convergence Technologies  (ACT)    has brought  the fastest   broadband Internet service -- at 1 GBPS -- to India.
To start with the  service is being rolled out  in Hyderabad. When the average internet speeds in India is 2.5 Mbps, ACT Fibernet’s 1 Gbps launch will leapfrog Hyderabad internet speeds to 400x national average. The 1 Gbps product is currently available in Hyderabad for  Rs  5999 per month, with a 1TB FUP.  It will soon be extended to the 11 cities where ACT operates
Said Bala Malladi, the CEO of ACT Fibernet “Hyderabad is India’s first Giga city.The entire network that is required to enable access to faster internet connectivity has been upgraded. The last mile connectivity of  60-70 meters  has been replaced with high-end fiber which gives  the gigabit speed.”
Added Telangana state  Minister for IT,  Taraka Rama Rao :  “I am pleased to witness the historic launch of 1 Gbps broadband internet service for an entire city in the country. It is my vision to connect 10 million households in Telangana through high speed internet and I am sure this product from ACT Fibernet will further help fulfill my vision of making Telangana a tech and digitally advanced hub.”
The Government of Telangana has embarked upon an ambitious plan to bring Internet to rural areas even as  over 3000 Wifi hot spots  are beingt developed in Hyderabad in next few months by ACT Fibernet.
ACT Fibernet intends to invest Rs1000 crore to further business growth in India in the next two years.  The company is the largest internet service provider in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with 65% market share.
