Bangalore, July 19, 2016: Leading Management Consulting firm, Zinnov, hosted its Annual thought leadership conference – “Confluence 2016”, in the city, recently  and honored  technology titans with the annual Zinnov Awards.
The winners were selected by a panel of jury comprising of eminent senior members from the technology ecosystem and included senior stakeholders from Ericsson, EMC, NetApp, Paypal, Samsung, Intel Security etc. This year, the awards received over 200 nominations from 60 companies across 9 different categories.The categories included Center Transformation, High Impact Global Roles and Great Place to Innovate. However, in keeping with current trends, Zinnov also instituted a number of new categories, including the Most Effective People Organization, Most Effective Gen Y Engagement and Best in Class Centers of Excellence.

 Technical Role Model - External Jury and Nomination Based: his category was an individual contributor award and recognized those individuals who are technology stalwarts and have served by example and inspired individuals within their organization and beyond to follow a technical career path.

 Most Effective People Organization: This category was a company-wide award to recognize those organizations that have successfully managed and exceeded their employee expectations. Drawing from the proprietary HR Maturity Framework, this category will look at functions of Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefit, Performance Management, L&D, and Employee Relations.

Most Effective Gen Y Engagement: This category was a company-wide award to recognize those MNC R&D centers that have successfully managed the challenges of attrition, engagement, acquisition and management of Gen Y employees.

Excellence in University Research Partnerships: This category was a company-wide award to recognize those MNC R&D centers that have significantly leveraged the university ecosystem for research partnerships. The assessment criteria will focus on the depth, scale and quality of the interaction of Indian centers with tier 1 and tier 2 universities in India and abroad.

 Center Transformation:This award category is a companywide award that recognized those companies who are leaders in the R&D in India and have rapidly evolved in their journey from being a pure play cost center to a value center. This category of award will be assessed on the nature and type of transformation, the drivers, the enablers, the key milestones and metrics achieved and the key outcomes – technology, business, topline and bottom line generated.

 Best in Class Centers of Excellence: This award looks at India centers that are leading the way in driving innovation and research in specific technology areas, while facilitating collaboration across business units. These CoE’s act as the go-to teams for cutting edge research and innovation in relevant areas, providing indispensible value to the parent organization.

High Impact Global Roles: This category is a company-wide award to recognize organizations that have successfully enabled and sustained global roles from India that are critical to the organization success. It will also recognize the impact these roles have created/ have the potential to create.

Great Place to Innovate: This category recognized those MNC R&D centers that are focused on value creation from the India center and have made concerted efforts across five key enablement areas which are charter, culture, external linkages, internal process and metrics. The assessment criteria’s focused on how conducive the environment is for innovation and also measured the pervasiveness.
