Uber creates R&D facility in Bangalore

Bangalore,  March 11, 2016:   Global cab aggregation leader Uber,   has turned  to India to innovate further in its business. Yesterday, the company,  inaugurated its first Asia Engineering Centre in Bangalore.
Says Thuan Pham, Uber’s Chief Technology Officer:  “The talent we see in India and the sheer passion and eagerness of these Engineers to build world class products and services to improve the lives of people and cities around the world is remarkable ...I can’t wait to see the innovations that will come from this team as they work to support the phenomenal growth of our business in cities across the country.”
The Engineering Centre will hire the best-in-class software engineers who will focus on developing customized solutions to better serve our rider and driver partners in India, in collaboration with on-the-ground operations teams as well as global Engineering and Product teams.
