Bangalore, November 4, 2015: Leading Pune-headquartered Indianmobile technology company Swipe Technologies, has unveiled the second iteration of its flagship smart phone -- Swipe Elite 2 -- arguably the most affordable 4G dual SIM phone in the market today.
Rs 4,666 device goes on sale exclusively through online channels at Flipkart from November 8, with a small edge for customers of cab aggregator Uber in four cities: in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi . They can upload their Uber receipts to the Swipe website and have the phone home delivered ahead of the national launch. A few lucky winners will also stand a chance to win the Elite 2 smartphone by engaging with Uber and Swipe via a contest on social media.

Powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz QuadCore Processor and 1GB RAM, Elite 2 has an internal memory of 8 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB. It comes with a 4.5” qHD IPS Display, an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. Powered by a 1900 mAh battery, the device comes with a Quick charge feature, fully charging it in 90 minutes. The phone comes loaded with the Swipe’s own Freedom OS, workdng with the Android Lollipop v. 5.1 to offer a number of customizable look and feel features. It offers Dual-SIM 4G support.

Swipe to Make in India
Swipe Technologies started its operations in July 2012 and launched the first 3-D tablet
and the first smart phone in India with a 6 inch screen. Starting January 2016, Swipe will
manufacture smartphones in India -- at Chakan near Pune -- across 8 production lines that
are geared to roll out 2 million units a year. These phones will cover the mid to high end of
the handset market, but will be priced below Rs 10,000, said Swipe CEO Shripal Gandhi at
the Elite 2 launch event in Bangalore.
