Flagship Spice phone bags Golden Peacock Award for innovation

Thiruvananthapuram, May 23, 2014 – Spice Retail's flagship phone, Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi 535, has bagged this year's  Golden Peacock Award for Innovative Product.  The award  honours Spice for launching the country’s first smartphone with a 5 megapixel Wide Angle Front camera.
Earlier, Spice won the Golden Peacock award in 2010for launching India’s 1st 3D phone, and  in 2007 for the country’s first Dual mode phone.
The award was presented  to T M Ramakrishnan, CEO, Devices, Spice Retail Limited by H Kerala Governor  Sheila Dikshit, herself an earlier Golden Peacock recipient.

The award are  instituted by the Institute of Directors, India. Justice P.N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Committee, is the Chairman of the Golden Peacock Awards Committee.
The Award applications are assessed at 3 three levels by independent assessors and finally by a grand Jury. The Global Awards are finalized by a Jury headed by Dr. Ola Ullsten, former Prime Minister of Sweden.
Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi 535 is the 1st ever smartphone with a 5 Megapixel Wide Angle front camera   and comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM which is expandable up to 32 GB through a micro SD card and is powered by a 2550mAh Li-ion-Polymer battery.
