Security products leader Allegion, creates  development centre in Bangalore

Bangalore, February 13, 2014: Leading US headquartered provider of security products and solutions, Allegion, has opened an engineering centre here to develop and support the company's line in automatic doors, electronic locks for commercial and residential applications, access control systems and time and attendance systems.
The centre has two business divisions - Engineering Center & Trading of Security Technologies business. It was inaugurated yesterday by Todd Graves, Vice President, Engineering and Technology, Allegion, plc and will commence designing and developing activities for a variety of safety and security products for both residential and commercial markets across India and the globe.
“Allegion was built on a century of innovation in safety and security. Our investment in research and development capabilities in India demonstrates the creativity, skill and commitment of the team here in Bangalore,” Graves said. “The type of engineering talent found here is not only in demand, but will be instrumental in pioneering the next century of innovation.
Allegion has already invested more than $500,000 to fund the new facility, with an annual spend projected to be nearly $3.3M in the first year.
”We will be hiring approximately 20 more engineers to make this Allegion’s biggest engineering center outside of the US.” Graves added.
