Storage leader NetApp to set up R&D Centre in Bangalore

Bangalore, January 31, 2014: International storage and data management solutions leader NetApp has taken the first step towards setting up a world-class research and development (R&D) facility in Bangalore.
The nearly one million square foot facility will offer working, collaboration, and recreational spaces to foster continued innovation and cross-functional collaboration. Spread over 15 acres, the new facility will include a highly efficient, 25,000 square foot data center to support global development and business operations. The facility is scheduled for completion in late 2015.

This development is an outcome of a commitment NetApp made to the Karnataka government by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Global Investors Meeting in 2012. -- which is why M.N. Vidyashankar, Additional Chief Secretary Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Karnataka was part of the ceremony.
