Google Doodle celebrates first Indian train journey

April 16 2013: Search engine Google bears the image of India’s First Passenger Train today. The Google Doodle celebrates the 150th anniversary of the first passenger train service between Bori Bunder in Bombay and Thane on  April  16 1853

The journey covered a distance of 34 kilometres hauled by three locomotives, Sahib, Sindh, and Sultan.

The doodle shows a train, with the "o" in Google substituted by the engine's nose. www.google.com
