The March-April issue of BICSI News reports that Desai has been conferred  the David K. Blythe/University of Kentucky Award for Outstanding Member of the Year Award at the  2013 BICSI Winter conference in Tampa Florida(US) earlier this year, for  his outstanding  efforts in promoting BICSI’s educational programs and commitment to professional development within the industry. Desai is cited for his efforts in promoting BICSI in India and beyond.A lead Auditor  for  ISO 27001 and  a certified trainer and Consulting Specialist in  all aspects of  networking – active, passive and security, Desai is also BICSI’s District Secretary for its India District.  He heads the Mumbai-based OptiNext India Pvt Ltd.
