Free messaging and chat tool Nimbuzz,  finds 150 m. users

New Delhi, March 17 2013: The  Indian innovation-fuelled global Instant messaging platform Nimbuzz  has seen its user count crossing 150 million in 200 countries with Asia contributing to more than 60 per cent of the user base. The company now boasts more than 37 million users in the Middle East and over 41 million in rest of Asia including India which has some 17 million users .Founded in 2006, Nimbuzz reached 50 million users in August 2011 and 100 million in August 2012,

”The target now is to double userbase each year in the next two years to reach 400 million by 2014-end,” Nimbuzz CEO Vikas Saxena  told  PTI in a Hindu Businessline  report last year. He added that about 25 per cent of the targeted number is expected to come from India.
