Bangalore, December 4, 2014 : SapnaOnline.com, the  digital arm of India’s largest multi brand retail book store,  Sapna Book House,   is to acquire Ishita Technologies with its  three online brands,  brands Bookadda.com, Acadzone.com and Koolskool.com.
Ishita was valued at & 13 million in its previous round of funding. Through the acquisition of the 3 brands, SapnaOnline  consolidates Sapna Book House’s end-to-end comprehensive book and content offerings, which consist of offline distribution, retailing, publishing, printing, stationery, B2B connect, ebooks, self publishing & book e-tailing and helps venture into newer verticals like online education (as a service provider) and direct school supplies.
It will help tap the increasing digital penetration in the online education space through Acadzone. KoolSkool will enable Sapna Book House’s school supplies business to expand into the online space. It will also increase the product offering to Sapna’s existing clientele of 10,800 schools / institutions.
SapnaOnline will now be empowered to offer the biggest stocked inventory of 12.5 million titles to the end user. It will also service BookAdda’s active customer base of 2 million customers. The shipments for both the brands – SapnaOnline & BookAdda - will be centralized & managed by the former. SapnaOnline will continue to retain the existing features/ services offered by Bookadda, Acadzone & KoolSkool.
