Delhi, May 26 2014: SanDisk has brought the new Ultra micro SDXC memory card to India -- and at 128 GB, it is the highest capacity ever, on a Flash memory card.
This means users can typically store 16 hours of Full HD video, 7,500 songs, 3,200 photos -- and still have space left for over a 100 apps -- on a finger nail sized card. To pack in so much storage, SanDisk has used special technology where 16 memory elements, each thinner than a strand of hair, are stacked one on top of the other. It is specially aimed at Android phone and tablet users and transfers data at twice the speed of ordinary microSD cards. The 128 GB Ultra microSDXC card costs Rs 9999.
