After success in three metros, TaxiForSure expanding into dozen other cities

Bangalore, January 30, 2014: -- a start up by 2 Indian Institute of Management alumnae, Aprameya Radhakrishna and Raghunandan G, is an aggregator of car rentals and taxis who has made   a mark on the taxi scene in three cities.

They work with various taxi operators and enable them with technology to ensure that customers get an easily accessible, safe, reliable taxi ride ‘for sure’. Unlike Meru and other cab operators, doesn’t own a fleet of cars instead make use of available cabs in the city, arrange for the cabbie to pick up and drop a customer from one point to another.

The founders believe that a consumer deserves a better way to choose from vast available taxi options and do not need to call 2 to 3 operators with just a small hope of getting the right taxi when they need one. At TaxiForSure,  competitive rates are available with all kinds of operators, international or local and varied options of cars that customer would want to avail. The entire process of bookings is based on Google map product and is user friendly, transparent, easy and quick. Since inception in Bangalore, has become the largest aggregator of taxis in Bangalore with access to more than 1300 taxis to service customers. The cab operator has also launched their customer mobile application on i-Phone and Android enabled cellular platforms that enable anyone to book a cab within 15 seconds! The application will also track the location of the taxi driver who has been assigned. Customers also get a wide choice of price & vehicles relevant to their usage.

TaxiForSure started its operations in June 2011. Since 2 years of inception and one year of seed funding has recorded a 40% month on month growth. TaxiForSure raised an angel round of funding from Accel Partners, Helion and Blume. The company clocked 2000 bookings per day in 3 cities Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi/NCR.

They are now planning to expand into 15 cities by 2015.
