New microsites, enhancements, at element14 resource for embedded systems engineers

Bangalore, July 28 2012: Global electronics distributor Premier Farnell has beefed up its online store and resource, element14, with a number of new and useful features. Some of them were unveiled for the first time during the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC 2012) in Bangalore earlier in the month where the element14, stands was a popular draw in the exhibition space.

One enhancement was the launch of a newly updated version of its online knowledge tool, for embedded and PCB design engineers, the Knode. Based on feedback from the design community, of over 100,000 , element14 has improved the Knode with a cleaner design and intuitive navigation; One click search; better access to video, application specific content and downloads.New personalisation features such as ‘MyList’ that helps securely store and share relevant information Gather and store parts, code, examples and documents.

element14 has also introduced new Robotics, Medical and Industrial Automation microsites for the Asia Pacific region. The three new microsites will cater to the latest emerging technologies in the region and add to the existing microsites covering Wireless, Sensing, Lighting, Alternative Energy, Transportation and Instrumentation & Measurement. The Robotics microsite features products and training videos from manufacturers like Freescale, Microchip, Omron Industrial Automation, STMicroelectronics and Vishay to accelerate the adoption of robotics solutions. The Medical microsite features embedded processing and sensing technologies and products from world-leading suppliers such as Altera, Fischer, Panasonic, Texas Instruments and XP Power. Popular control solutions from manufacturers like Harting, Honeywell, Molex, Schneider and TE Connectivity are covered on element14’s Industrial Automation microsite.
