Logitech brings HD to webcams

Switzerland- headquartered Logitech has launched its new range of HD webcams fuelled by the Logitech Vid HD video conferencing software tool, in India. The new webcams include the first full high definition webcam for high-definition video calling, recording and sharing ( one click upload to Facebook).

“Broadband adoption is a primary driver of video calling in India. HD video calling is a critical step toward our vision of a world in which video communication is as mainstream and seamless as a telephone call — for anyone, anywhere”, said Subrotah Biswas, Logitech’s country manager for India and South West Asia at the Bangalore launch event on February 16, “With Logitech HD webcams and Vid HD, you have everything you need to share, to connect, to see the people that matter to you in breathtaking detail that far surpasses the quality of embedded webcams”.
The company’s new HD webcam series includes the Logitech HD Pro C910 full HD Webcam and the 720p HD Webcams C510 and C310.The range is completed by earlier launches: Logitech Webcam C905, Logitech HD Webcam C270, and Logitech Webcam Pro 9000.

The top of the line Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 (Rs 7295) is the first in the industry offering full HD 1080p recording. It comes with Logitech Vid HD stereo audio with dual mic, and up to 10-megapixel photos. The Logitech HD Webcam C510 ( Rs 2995) for portable HD video calling and recording provides HD 720p video calls on standard Net Phone tools like Skype as well as 8 MP still shots while the Logitech HD Webcam C310 ( Rs 1795) is rated for HD 720p video calls and 5 MP photos. http://www.logitech.com/en-in/webcam-communications
