HCL extends games console range with 'converged' models
Finally, games consoles for Indian teens

Indian IT manufacturing leader HCL Infosystems has launched ‘Converged Handheld Gaming Consoles’ for 10-to-15 year olds, only weeks after entering the gaming devices market,earlier this month, with a trio of low cost platforms for younger children. The converged part of the two new consoles consists of MP3/MP4 player, FM radio, TV compatibility with recording facility, 5 megapixel camera and an e-book reader with dictionary. The models are priced at Rs 3799 for the HCL ME X15 with 2 GB inbuilt memory expandable to 4 GB and Rs 4799 for the HCL ME Z15 with 2 GB built in memory expandable to 6 GB. Both models come with 15 games apiece, and harness 16 bit graphics.
HCL says the machines are green and 100 percent recyclable.
