Content management in 8 Indian languages made easy.

A Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu-based startup, Hycus, has released what is arguably the first open-source, content management and publishing system, to be created in India and offered for free use by web developers.
Hycus-cms, version 1.0.0 brings  the ease of publishing and updating content, blogs, and photos in websites. Users can also publish content in eight Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, Guajarati and Bengali).
Requirements to use the tool are: PHP 5.0 or above; MySQL 5.0.51 or above; Javascript enabled browser. Hycus-cms has been tested with Firefox 3, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera 10 and Microsoft IE7 and IE8.
The basic feature list of the content management system are : Fully featured CK editor in admin side; fully ajax based admin side. (can also be disabled); easy to manage your site's content, menus, blocks; creates RSS feed for your contents; HTML/CSS templates to Hycus templates is easy; user management for front end; contact page; search Engine Friendly URL's (SEF); maintain multiple websites with same single set of files and ddd contents in other Indian languages (available only from admin side).
The creators say they will be releasing new modules and blocks using the API of Hycus-cms and are also working at more advanced security measures, to avoid any hacking attempts.
