Free tool for below Rs 300,000 income. Free at all slabs,  for senior citizens, physically challenged

Tax advisory portal e-Lagaan (www.eLagaan.com ) is back this year with a free tax preparation tool for Indian tax payers whose income is less than Rs 300,00.

The process is easy and simple. Tax payers need to enter details of their income and expenses in a guided and simple question answer model. They can then review their tax calculations instantly and proceed with filing their returns online without need to visit the income tax office. The whole process takes about 10 minutes and can be done anytime and from anywhere.

The below-Rs 300,000 category covers 8 of 10 tax payers in India.

July 31 is the deadline for personal tax payments.

eLagaan has also offered free tax preparation to all senior citizens and physically challenged users, irrespective of the package they select.
