India's largest cybercafe chain launches a consumer cloud of services

Indian enterprise and consumer Internet services leader Sify Technologies has launched what is arguably the country’s first Consumer Cloud Services Platform. Called Sify mylife, it promises to enable a digital lifestyle encompassing communication, education, travel, entertainment and utilities, with enhanced cyber security.

While Sify e-ports (cybercafes) are already cloud-access-ready, any of the 1.6 lakh shared internet access points in India like cybercafes can also connect to Sify mylife either through a Sify Broadband connection or a specially designed ‘Sify Edge device’.

Sify mylife will soon be accessible through Sify Home Broadband,, mobile phones and the Cloud connection device.

The next-generation avatar of cybercafes will offer a host of services that will soon be extended to the company’s Broadband and Portal customers.”

Sify mylife allows lay users to: get a host of digital lifestyle offerings from one window: ticket bookings, mobile recharge, online tests, bill payments, ISD calls, gaming, etc; pay cash for online transactions without online payments or credit card requirements.
