Mumbai January 21 2014: The Computer Society of India has launched a special portal to serve its large student community spread across 418 Student Branches all over India, located at colleges of engineering, computer science and management institutes.
The portal wil serve as a anchor and resource centre for students highlghting useful technical papers, tutorials, course curriculum, R & D projects, training programmes etc.

Many Student Branches hold annual "Technology Festivals" with programming contests, quizzes, interaction with IT industry luminaries, career guidance counselling, and much more.

The CSI has an Education Directorate at Chennai, which undertakes activities related to certification of professionals in the latest technologies such as Cyberlaws, IT Audit, Software Testing, Project Management, etc. A number of offline and online (web-based) courses on subjects such as Logistics/SCM, Bioinformatics, Banking and Insurance are also on the anvil.
