Kerala kids  in govt schools to get Raspberry Pi kits

Thiruvananthapuram, September 20 2015:  School kids in Kerala  will be provided  Raspberry Pi computers  to unleash their creativity. 
Speaking at a function in the state capital to launch an Electronics@School programme, the Chief Minister Oomen Chandy said  in addition to distributing some 7500 Raspberry Pi kits to  school children under the   "Learn to Code" programme, the state would also ensure that every government school  would get electronics kits to  nurture the 'maker'culture.
Raspberry Pi is a Rs 3000  credit card sized basic computer that is  the world's most popular platform   for children's computer  creativity
