Imagine IT! Indian students innovate

New Delhi, April 27, 2011: A team from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Patna, will represent India at the world finals of the Microsoft –sponsored student technology competition, the Imagine Cup 2012, in Sydney, Australia, in July. 
The announcement came at a student event here on Wednesday that hosted over 500 students.
The BIT Team “D Labs”, came up with a unique solution of changing the enhancing the learning abilities of school students suffering from dyslexia which won in two categories -- software design as well as accessibility. Now in its 10th year, the Imagine Cup saw over 50,000 students from colleges across India register this year for eight categories.
Software Design (General) India Winners: 1st Place: The D Labs from BIT Mesra
2nd Place: Jeevan from BK Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Pilani
3rd Place: Imaginary from VES Institute of Technology, Mumbai

Software Design (Accessibility) India Winners: 1st Place: The D Labs from BIT Mesra
2nd Place: KinectoTherapy from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar
