Yahoo! Hackathon on Bangalore draws India’s best –n-brightest.

 Yahoo! India Research& Development’s fourth Open Hack in India and 15th globally drew over 700 developers to Bangalore last week, providing a platform for the developer community to build applications from scratch using market-leading technologies from Yahoo.

The two day event involved 24 hours of hacking using a great collection of new web tools, services and APIs from the Yahoo Developer Network , as well as data from around the web 
Yahoo! also held its second ‘Innovation Conference’ on July with the theme “Winning in India – Changing the Game”. It included panel discussions on mobile & tablet experiences, social entrepreneurship, emerging content consumption patterns and the e-commerce & deals space in India.
“As the premier digital media company, it is critical for us to nurture a vibrant developer ecosystem. we take inspiration from the overwhelming response OpenHack has received this year too,” said Shouvick Mukherjee, VP &CEO, Yahoo! India R&D.
