Rupee symbol

Last week, the Indian government unveiled a special symbol for the rupee – joining a small club in which the dollar, the yen, the pound sterling and the euro are members. But some one didn’t do the required homework and at launch time there was no font ready to go with the symbol.
As Karnataka-based Internet engineering company Foradian says, it’s not exactly rocket science -- nevertheless, three cheers for them: They have created a font called Rupee Foradian and set up a blog to help you download it and assign a little used key on the qwerty keyboard for the symbol.
1. Download the font Rupee_Foradian.ttf
2. Install the font. (It is easy. Just copy the font and paste it in "Fonts" folder in control panel)
3. Start using it. :)
The blog also tells you how to get the symbol when you type in any font not just Rupee Foradian, when using MS Word.

And  for a few days, we have a Foradian's video on our home page to explain how to use the rupee font
