Wido Menhardt has taken over as Chief Executive Officer, Philips Innovation Campus in Bangalore. A Computer Science PhD from Hamburg University, Dr Menhardt began his career at Philips Medical Systems Hamburg and has authored over 50 papers in areas like fuzzy logic and MRI physics, with 8 patents to his name.
“PIC in Bangalore has a talented pool of engineers and scientists who are able to develop top of line technologies for any market in the world”, he says, “Our focus would be on delivering products and solutions of the highest quality, especially in healthcare, but with an increased focus on India”.
PIC contributes to the portfolio of Philips’ medical systems. Product lines include X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, PET, radiation oncology systems, patient monitoring, and information management and resuscitation product
Dr. Menhardt also announced the commencement of development activity for Philips lighting. .. with a mandate to l develop a range of innovative digital lighting solutions for global markets.
