New Delhi, February 25, 2015: The recently-launched application for Android devices  from Via.com, India’s largest travel network has received a  huge  response from users to become highest-rated travel app in the country -- with a rating of 4.4 on Google Play. 
Says  Swaminathan Vedaranyam, CEO, Via.com:“Almost 45% of the traffic on our consumer-facing platform now comes through the app. It has resulted in a 200% rise in traffic on VIA.com and a 140% spike in the conversion rate.” 
Planned  additions will make the app even more comprehensive. It will be equipped with the ability to search for nearby hotels within a specific radius via GPS and allow users to see instant rates. Additionally, users will also be able to find the nearest travel agent while they are on a trip. 
The VIA app, currently available on Android's Google Play store, enables users to search and book domestic flight tickets at the lowest prices with minimal taps. It has a clean and minimal interface with filters for price, duration and airline. It allows users to compare multiple airlines and also offers incredible discounts on return bookings. The app offers additional features like price alerts and notifications for special deals and offers.
Users have access to top domestic and international airlines through the VIA app. It accepts payments using credit cards, debit cards and net banking. One can also book and pay later in easy installments. The express checkout facility offers a very quick experience thanks to its feature of stored traveller details.
