Sony Ericsson has  launched three new handset categories in India – the Satio, Aino and Yari mobile phones – as part of its new revamped communication entertainment portfolio. Between them the phones tout a new multimedia experience, remote play access to videos, television shows and photos and also – a new feature -- gesture based gaming. A 12.1 Megapixel camera is one of the closest so far to stand alone semi-professional digicams.

Satio comes with a 3.5 inch screen offering a 16:9 widescreen format. With a 12.1 megapixel camera. This featuress the Smile Shutter, Xenon flash and Touch Focus. Satio also offers the touch user interface which makes navigation intuitive while one browses the media menu, adjusts r camera settings or plays music. (Price Rs. 35,950)

Aino is aimed at those who fancy latest videos and music. Media Go helps users transfer, play and organize all their music, photos, videos and podcasts from the PC, directly on Aino via Wi Fi. It also offers the ability to access content stored on a PlayStation 3 from anywhere in the world through a Wi-Fi connection. Using the same technology found in the PSP3, the new phone offers Remote Play access to videos, television shows and photos at the press of a button. It comes with an 8 MP camera and good sound quality with Clear Stereo and Clear Bass. (Price: 28,950)

Gesture gaming is here



Yari debuts Gesture gaming –the user makes gestures in front of the screen to get into the middle of the action. The Phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera ,music player, stereo speakers and a new feature like Music call - one button press to share favourite tracks while you talk. (Price: Rs. 16,950)
