If fitness and healthy living is your mantra  you might  think of investing in one of the many fitness or activity trackers available. TomTom, the GPS and navigation device manufacturer recently launched a range of fitness watches, including the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio.  A GPS-enabled training device, the watch lets you track your freestyle workout as well as other activities like running, swimming, and cycling.  Not just for outdoors, the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio watch also tracks indoor workouts such as treadmill sessions.
Heart rate monitoring is a crucial co-ordinate to measure, especially for athletes and people with cardiovascular conditions. This training watch from TomTom comes built-in with a heart rate monitor, which measures and stores your heart rate values. It also gives you the option of exercising within your configurable target heart rate zone.
The TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio offers water resistance up to 50 meters and features a scratch and impact resistant LCD display. But it is slightly difficult to read the watch under direct sunlight. Below the display there is a menu button with four navigation options, which lets you measure, store and compare distance, duration, speed, pace, and calories. The watch module is removable to be placed on other mounts like a bike’s dock, but then you will need a separate heart rate monitor.
Apart from storing your workout data on TomTom’s own online community platform, you can also share and analyze your fitness stats on other third-party platforms such as MapMyFitness, RunKeeper, Strava, etc. With battery life up to 8 hours, the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio is all set for a long run.
Available on flipkart.com, the TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio watch is priced at Rs. 23,499, which might seem a bit steep  but then most of the others don't  sync the device with the user's heart limits
