October 5 2011: India-headquartered hospitality and leisure industries solutions leader IDS NEXT, has announced the availability of a passport scanning system to enhance its Property Management Systems (PMS). with TTI Technologies’ Scan2PMS passport scanner. Hotels and other property owners will now be able to efficiently capture guest information and automatically update their hotel’s database thereby enhancing security measures within the property.
IDS has partnered with the New York-based TTI Technologies International to bring this solution to its customers.IDS NEXT and TTI Technologies have formed a strategic partnership for the Scan2PMS solution in Asian and Middle East markets.The passport scanner will be customisable as per hotelier preferences and has provisions for Photo extraction as well which would assist hoteliers to reduce guest check-in time and also decrease paperwork associated with maintenance of guest history and records. The scanning device is compact and portable and can be used in a front-office setting without any interference.
