Anindo Roy to drive Yahoo's India solutions

Bangalore, May 18, 2012 – Anindo Roy, is to be the new head of Yahoo! India Research & Development’s India Solutions, as Vice President of under its Media Engineering Group. He will drive the regional Media products for Yahoo!. The Media Engineering group in India oversees platform and publishing tools, as well as engineering for all regional media products.
Anindo joins Yahoo! with 21 years of management and development experience in the software Industry, in the US and India. Most recently, Anindo was VP Engineering and Site leader for Fair Isaac India (FICO), a leader in predictive analytics. At FICO, Anindo played a pivotal role in transforming the India center into a global development center owning complete product delivery responsibilities and development initiatives. Prior to joining FICO, Anindo held various leadership positions at Oracle, which included a 12-year stint at the Oracle HQ in Redwood Shores, California, and 2-year stint at Oracle India Development Center in Bangalore.
Anindo is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and holds a Masters degree from Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA. He also holds several patents in database and real-time collaboration areas under his name.

has delivered more than 20 products across media, technology and platform portfolios. Some of its well-known products innovations are Yahoo! Cricket, omg!, Yahoo! Video, Polyads, Predict etc.
