India has dominant presence in software and IT services sector, but it is yet to build globally competitive IT & electronics systems design and manufacturing capabilities. The objective of both the Industry and the Govt. is to commence major transformation for India in the next 5-10 years with a 3 dimensional IT thrust.

Indian economy is said to be entering another phase of exponential growth and development in the coming years and will see a sustainable high economic growth. IT & technology will serve as big enablers and legitimising India's status to emerge globally competitive in the hardware arena. A robust and encouraging ecosystem covering all aspects of the downstream industry will enable us to emerge as a strong IT nation."
