Bill Barney to head Reliance Globalcom's offshore business

Mumbai, January 17, 2014: William (Bill) Barney is to be the CEO of Reliance Globalcom's three offshore businesses: FLAG, Yipes and Vanco. He will operate out of Hong Kong and Mumbai.
Barney’s career spans more than 15 years in Asia. During his 10-year tenure as CEO of Pacnet, Mr. Barney led the company's successful acquisition of regional ISP, Pacific Internet, which operationally merged with Asia Netcom and re-launched as Pacnet in January 2008. Prior to Pacnet, he served as Asia Pacific President and CEO for MCI Worldcom (Verizon) where he led the company through a three-digit growth phase.
