R.Vittal Raj to be VP of ISACA

Mumbai, June 10, 2013: India’s R.Vittal Raj is to be vice president(2013-14) of ISACA, a global association serving 110,000 IT governance, assurance, risk and security professionals in 180 countries. Raj is a partner of Kumar & Raj and director at Pristine Consulting. The announcement was made at the INSIGHTS 2013 conference in Berlin today. Founded in 1969, ISACAwww.isaca.org develops international standards, frameworks and guidance to help enterprises maximize the value of their information and systems. ISACA administers the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) designations.
The association also developed and continually updates COBIT, the internationally accepted framework for governance and management of enterprise IT. The latest version, COBIT 5, was released last year. 
Over the last 25 years, Raj has directed projects in the areas of IT governance, information security, IT assurance, enterprise risk management and risk-based internal audits. He has served as advisor to boards and senior management on IT governance, cyber law and risk management strategies. An ISACA member for more than 15 years, he is currently a member of ISACA’s India Growth Task Force. He also has served as a member of ISACA’s Knowledge Management and Education Committee and Asia-Pacific CACS Program Development Task Force, and as director of certification and past president of the ISACA Chennai Chapter.
