New Delhi January 18 2013: Anant Gupta has been named  the new Chief Executive Officer of HCL Technologies, India’s number 3 IT company. He replaces Vineet Nayar who will continue as the vice-chairman and joint managing director till July 2013 and vice-chairman after that.Anant has been with HCL for 19 years, coming from Comnet and has been leading  HCL’s  $ 1 billion  Infrastructure Services  business. He is the   author of  the world’s first ever book on Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) titled ‘The Blackbook on RIM’ and is a founding member of NASSCOM’s, RIM Forum.  Anant Is an  MSc. Engineering from University of Liverpool (UK) .
