Operational since 2007, Flipkart.com, founded by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, is one of the largest e-commerce brands in India. Intially focussed on books and movies, FlipKart expanded to offer cameras and computers ( February 20111), home appliances ( August 2011), digital music ( March 2012), Baby care and toys ( August 2012) and, e-books ( December 2012).use of data in the e-commerce business, scalability in technology, messaging as a platform, private clouds, online marketing, website security etc. 

Earlier this month FlipKart decided to share its learnings in e-business, at a day- long event in Bangalore, called SlashN, covering areas like building web scale systems, choosing relevant data stores, parallel processing frameworks, deep analytics, infrastructure provisioning, fault tolerance, extensive monitoring and much more. Yogi Kulkarni is a Principal Architect at Flipkart. He was part of the team that rebuilt Flipkart's Supply Chain system from ground up using a service-oriented architecture.  
Siddhartha Reddy
is an Architect in the website team at Flipkart, currently focussing on building the search and product discovery platform.  
Regunath Balasubramanian
is an architect, developer and mentor with a career span of 16 years. He is currently responsible for building long term technology vision across Customer Platform teams.  
Ashok Banerjee
is VP Data Platform and Analytics Engineering and has to date, 22 patents approved and counting... 
Other key FlipKart talents were around: Utkarsh
who  is currently working as a Principal Architect at Flipkart with an association dating back over 2 years. Initially managed the Platforms team with the charter of delivering platform components and reusable technology stacks. Ganesh Subramanian is an Architect at Flipkart's Supply Chain Technologies (SCT) team. Fareed Jawad is an electronic payments specialist. Tarun Mangal is an Engineering Manager. In many ways a unique event  which saw a successful Indian Net enterprise,  candidly   retrace its roadmap --  potholes, obstacles and all – and  suggesting how an e-comm  venture in India could succeed in an environment of less-than-ideal connectivity,  user scepticism about online payments and that very Indian  fixation on paisa vasool or money’s worth.
