Operational since 2007, Flipkart.com, founded by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, is one of the largest e-commerce brands in India. Intially focussed on books and movies, FlipKart expanded to offer cameras and computers ( February 20111), home appliances ( August 2011), digital music ( March 2012), Baby care and toys ( August 2012) and, e-books ( December 2012).use of data in the e-commerce business, scalability in technology, messaging as a platform, private clouds, online marketing, website security etc.
Earlier this month FlipKart decided to share its learnings in e-business, at a day- long event in Bangalore, called SlashN, covering areas like building web scale systems, choosing relevant data stores, parallel processing frameworks, deep analytics, infrastructure provisioning, fault tolerance, extensive monitoring and much more.
