"Hi all,Watched 3 movies on mine (little less than 6 hours of oteiapron) in eco mode and just to be sure I turned off the quick cooling feature (so now it cools for a couple of minutes rather than seconds). I can't back it up, but I notice no real difference in how hard the fan cools based on noise or air flow. So if it's only a matter of how long it cools, I take my chances on having it cool down more gradually over a longer period.I hope to avoid the overheating issue, but will let you know if it occurs. As far as the rainbow effect goes: yes it is noticeable, but not the same for every movie and for all light conditions. We watched Finding Nemo during the day and it seemed not to occur. However yesterday evening, moving your eyes fast from one end to the other over the screen clearly showed rainbow effects. It doesn't bother me personally because if it does occur, it's only very briefly. Can someone please confirm that indeed you don't really hear the fan blowing loud for a certain period after pressing the off button the first time? That was what I was used to with my previous Panasonic beamer. This BenQ model seems to keep the fan intensity the same and just have it run a period before finally shutting down."

"You can try the mode feature selciteng through different presets which might help your problem, although you might not find yourself finding the optimum levels as this is an entry level full HD projector and does not offer the picture quality of higher priced and higer spec'd projectors. If your still stuck then browse through the menu's and select the picture settings and adjust the various levels."
