Namaskaaram! Yahoo!  is  now in Malayalam

New Delhi, March 5, 2012: Yahoo! India, has launched its fifth Indian language avatar -- in Malayalam. The portal http://malayalam.yahoo.com/  is co-branded with leading Malayalam language daily, Malayala Manorama and will help address a n estimated 37 million-strong global base of Malayalees.

Malayalam on Yahoo! India, offers local, national and global news across genres of Politics, Sports, Business, Governance, Utility, and Entertainment. Lifestyle and utility information is available under heads like as Education, Motoring, Health, Religion and Spirituality, and Astrology. Select content sourced from Manorama Online such as Movie, Music, and Weekend features will also be featured.
According to the ICube report by  the Internet And  Mobile Association of India  (IAMAI), the Indian language audience is growing at a rate of nearly 40% per year and the next wave of digital audience in India is expected to emerge from the non-English speaking population.
