It is six months since Panda Security a global provider of security solutions entered the Indian market with its range of consumer and enterprise solutions. The global pioneer of server-less cloud-based security services has most recently launched its Cloud Office Protection solutions in this country, typing up with Cyberstar Infocom for national distribution across 26 cities.
Harnessing the power of the cloud and the experience of millions of computer users, Panda Cloud Protection solutions are powered by the real-world, real-time security of their proprietart cloud-based Collective Intelligence technology. Processor-intensive tasks are handled in the cloud, saving up to 40% in overheads, said Lau Kai Jern, Panda’s Kuala Lumpur-based Director – Technical for the Asia pacific Region, in a telephonic briefing . It is available as a complete suite of solutions or individually to address each threat vector - endpoint, email, or web, he added.

Most recently Panda has also announced the launch of its new perimeter protection, Panda Virtual GateDefender Performa, which delivers cloud-based protection for VMWare virtualized environments. Companies can now protect their perimeter by harnessing the virtualized servers already installed on most networks to provide an effective solution against all types of IT threats. This solution promises major cost-savings compared to a traditional solution due to its ability to be distributed with the corresponding hardware. The hybrid cloud used by the new virtual appliance combines a private cloud, hosted on a private network which provides service to Panda GateDefender Performa; and a public cloud, which provides service to a global network and private cloud (Collective Intelligence). The solution has not yet been offered in India.
