Reliance Communications and Acer have joined hands to create a special  Netbook for India where Wireless Broadband connectivity is embedded in the system -- eliminating the need of plugging any external device for internet access.

The Broadband- bembedded Netbook, is a variant of the Acer Aspire One 532h.

S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India, says: “Acer’s embedded broadband Netbook has a multitude of benefits like longer battery-life, convenience, tighter integration, security and lower Total Cost Ownership.This is a new category has been pioneered by Acer, -- and this first-to-market initiative would further turbo-charge our growth in the Indian market”.
R Swaminathan, Hub Head - Karnataka Circle, Reliance Communications adds: said “Reliance has taken the lead in bringing innovations in the mobile data space. Now, by collaborating with a leading giant in laptops, Acer, we are taking the innovation to a new level.”
Priced at Rs.19,499 , the Acer Aspire One532h comes with 2 months of complimentary usage of integrated and inbuilt Reliance NetConnect Broadband Plus worth Rs 2198. The embedded broadband netbooks promise high speed data connectivity upto 3.1 Mbps across 66 cities and speeds upto 156 Kbps across 25000 towns and 6 lakh Indian villages on Reliance’s state-of-the-art CDMA network.
The same model available earlier without the built-in broadband cost  around Rs 17,500 – so, if you add in the  retail cost of a Reliance broadband domngle, we believe the new machine is a good deal. 
The 10 inch LED/LCD based Aspire One 532h  runs on an Intel Atom  N450 processor, has 1 GB RAM, 160 GB of hard drive storage and a Windows XP OS.
