Bangalore, June 5 2017: By using innovative technologies which can lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and lifestyles, green startups help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources for current and future generations. Here are  three Indian  startups  that  have  built their businesses on a platform that works  for a better,  greener world.
SmarterHomes, a Bangalore based automation startup has come up with a solution to not only monitor water usage but also reduce  water wastage through  an  automated IoT product called Wateron. This solution  measures water consumption in individual apartments  and claims to be  the world’s first 100% automated smart water meter offering accurate metering, leak prevention (detection and control) and long life. It’s  a composite solution providing real time readings to the consumers to help them prevent wastage and save money.
GPS Renewables have a  product -- BioUrja  -- which  converts wet waste into Biogas.  It is an IoT enabled Biogas plant that can be remotely controlled. It digests bio-waste and produces clean bioCNG (biogas which contains high percentage of methane). The gas can be directly used for cooking and thermal applications. It can also be used with a gas engine for power generation. The post-digested liquid is used as a fertilizer.
Graviky Labs offers a unique proposition:  capture air pollution and turn it into ink! Graviky has developed KAALINK, a retrofit technology which captures carbon emissions from vehicles or chimneys before it enters our atmosphere. The captured pollutants are then recycled into inks.
