Spread over 15 acres of land, the new development centre houses the company’s largest R&D centre with capacity of around 3000 employees. Already functional, the centre now  houses around 2000 engineers. The facility is an all-steel building with sustainable design to save energy and resources. Visweswaraiah mentioned that the new 12,000 square-foot data centre is designed to use ambient cooling techniques to optimize energy usage. The centre consumes only 1.8 mega watts, which is relatively less when compared to 3 mega watts power consumption in their old facility.

Hence, we allow them to be at their best self here.”  The campus comes with a health centre that has in-house doctors, a fitness centre, convenience store, sports arena, etc for its employees.

"Datamunger - my point is that the improvement in GDP/mile has been doing on steadily since the early 1990s (the trough was 1992), even though oil prices were modest for the first ten years or so of that period. So it's pretty hard to argue the recent cotaniuntion of that trend is oil price driven (especially given there's no evidence of an oil price effect in the 1970s)."
