Email is not dead, increased business use proves

Indian enterprise messaging  solution, Flock,  has added an update that seamlessly integrates with emails, to create a cool combo tool.
Bangalore, October 27 2016: Email is not dead. Those who are writing its obituaries miss one point:  people want to write to one another, using their email accounts, in more than 140-character bursts.  And over 4 billion live email accounts worldwide, don't look like something that is moribund.
Flock, a leading in Indian messaging tool for businesses, has in its latest update only served to underline the continued health and utility of email.  It has just launched Mailcast,  an app that integrates mailing list functionality directly into Flock. When most chat apps are talking about killing emails, Flock  is the only messenger which integrates mailing list and expands the reach for better collaboration. Adding mailing list capabilities in a team messenger is a global industry first.
What this means is this: , every group created on Flock is automatically converted to an email list, making group mailing convenient and hassle-free.
How does it work:  If a user has a project group, say Project Zephyr, with 20 members in it, Mailcast will create a unique email id for it ‘projectzephyr@flockgroups.co’. Users can send an email to the entire group by simply pasting the auto-generated mail address into their email client.
No need to maintain mailing lists: If users are added to or removed from a Flock group, Mailcast automatically updates the group’s mailing list. Mailcast also enables Flock users to easily send important memos or project update emails with just a click, without having to remember and type numerous email addresses.
Says Flock founder-CEO Bhavin Turakhia: “Most business messengers, in their quest of creating differentiation have exaggerated the death of email. While team messaging apps like Flock are designed for synchronous communication and collaboration, email is still as pertinent as ever, and certain communications are still relevant on emails. Flock is the first and only team messaging app to provide mailing list functionality within a team messenger"
Globally Flock  --  which is supported across all platforms, including Desktop (Windows and Mac), Mobile (iOS and Android), and the Web --competes with  enterprise messaging tool Slack.
