Hyderabad, December 10 2015: Leading UK-based innovator in Internet of Things (IoT) middleware --Flexeye -- has opened a accelerator and incubator centre in Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City to drive the HyperCat consortium that it leads.
The centre will help Indian startups gain access to skills, technology and funding opportunities to accelerate the development of valuable Internet of Things (IoT) and smart city services. It was opened today by the British Deputy High Commissioner based in Hyderabad, Andrew McAllister
The HyperCat Consortium 2014, is a UK Government programme that has received £8m funding to drive secure and interoperable IoT for Industry.
Businesses based at the centre will be able to learn about the HyperCat standard and how to apply this to unlock value across the IoT. The incubator will help provide access to potential investors while the accelerator will act to speed up the development of smart city opportunities. A similar approach has already proven highly successful in the UK where HyperCat, backed by Innovate UK, the Mayor of London’s Office, the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and leading technology businesses created an accelerator office to shape the smart city strategy for the UK’s largest urban regeneration.
