TCS taps Indore talent to set up software development centre

Indore,  August 10, 2013: India’s biggest  IT services, consulting and business solutions provider, Tata Consultancy Services  is set up a software development campus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with an investment of Rs. 500 crore ( Rs 5 billion) in two phases.

The TCS Indore campus will be located in the Special Economic Zone Area allotted by the Madhya Pradesh government. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation stone for Phase I at a ceremony held at the site of the campus today.  

Said N. Chandrasekaran, TCS CEO and Managing Director: “Indore is among the fastest growing cities in India by virtue of its business ecosystem and infrastructure development. The city has a good potential to transform into a knowledge hub.  TCS’ investment will further boost the economy of the state by nurturing the development of talent and re-instilling inclusive growth. We are committed to work in harmony with all the stakeholders in the state to provide high-end solutions to our customers from this location.” Responded Shivraj Singh Chouhan:  “We welcome Tata Consultancy Services to set up its campus in Indore focused on IT and BPO services. We are certain that TCS’ entry into the state will open new avenues for economic development of the state.”

The TCS campus will comprise software engineering blocks, training facilities, amphitheatre, and other facilities to offer a holistic environment to knowledge professionals. Sprinkled with water bodies and green areas, the park will incorporate several green building concepts such as zero discharge, energy efficient systems, rain water harvesting systems and integrated building management systems.
