Smart Viera  TV will lead Panasonic's India drive

Bangalore July 11 2013 – Panasonic India will expand its focus from consumer to business and government (B2B and B2G) in India, says Managing Director Manish Sharma, pumping in an investment of Rs 15 billion ( Rs 1500 crores) over the next 3 years. The company looks for a revenue of $ 3.66 billion by 2015.
Besides entering new areas like smartphones Panasonic will also enter the energy solutions, security and surveillance systems business, collaborating with Indian enterprises f
entertainment products – principally digital smart TVs will be at the vanguard of its market strategy in the upcoming festive season – and the flagship this year will be its Viera range of smart LED television sets priced between Rs. 65,000 to Rs. 125,000
Adds Manoj N G, Regional Manager, Karnataka & Kerala, Consumer Product Division, Panasonic India “Karnataka alone contributes to 8% of total the Panasonic revenue. We are pleased to bring into the market our new range of VIERA TVs with which we aim to capture 15% of market share in Karnataka from a current market share of 12%.”
